Questions people ask
Where do you work?
We're serving Reading and the neighbourhoods around it: Caversham, Tilehurst, Earley, Woodley, Lower Earley and Calcot. Not sure about your street? Ring and ask before you do anything else.
My kitchen sink is draining slowly. Is that a blocked drain?
Often, yes. A slow sink usually means a partial blockage building up in the waste pipe or the drain it feeds. Catching it early is simpler than waiting for water to stop going down altogether.
What happens during a drain survey in Reading?
A narrow camera is guided along the pipe and shows what is inside on a screen. That lets us see cracks, roots, displaced joints or build-up, so the next step is based on what is really there.
What is the difference between drain unblocking and drain cleaning?
Unblocking deals with a blockage that is stopping water now. Drain cleaning is the wider job of removing grease, scale and silt from the pipe walls so the line runs freely again.
Is the blocked drain my problem or the water company's?
As a general rule, pipes that only serve your property are yours to look after, and shared sewers further out are usually the water company's. Ring us with the details and we'll help you work out which applies.
